A Visit to Hollywood Wax Museum Pigeon Forge
After living in East Tennessee for a year,we having finally had a chance to start exploring the amazing attractions. On a recent visit we had the opportunity to explore the Hollywood Wax Museum Pigeon Forge. We had heard fantastic things before hand and were excited for our visit. We had an amazing visit and wanted to share the favorite parts of our day. The Hollywood Wax Museum Pigeon Forge has been open for four years and is located on the main parkway in Pigeon Forge and is easy to recognize from the road thanks to the Great Ape of Pigeon Forge perched on top of the building. The Pigeon Forge location is the country’s largest Hollywood Wax Museum and provides hours of entertainment.
There are plenty of photo opportunities available inside and at many locations you can find props to help you become part of the scene. The museum pays tribute to popular actors/ancestresses and pop culture icons in American History. Pose along side your favorites such as Julia Roberts, Morgan Freeman, Tom Cruise, Adam Sandler, and more.
Each wax figure takes at least three months to complete and is completed by a team of seven different artists. The process starts with a clay sculpture and ends with finalizing the props that will go with the costume the figure is dressed in. Careful detail is made to every step of the process and results in the amazing displays that you will see during your visit.
After you have explored all the figures at the Hollywood Wax Museum Pigeon Forge, you will want to check out the other amazing attractions at the Hollywood Wax Museum Entertainment Center. Inside you will find Hannah’s Maze of Mirrors, Castle of Chaos – a 5D ride adventure, and Outbreak – an indoor haunted house. This was a perfect way to round out our visit. My daughter once again had to lead us out of the Maze of Mirrors but she chose to sit out the Castle of Chaos and Outbreak due to the scare factor.
You can purchase tickets individually for each of the attractions but you can save $36 on all the attractions by purchasing the All Access Pass. Plus the All Access Pass gives you access to the Outside Deck where you can take in the views of Pigeon Forge and get up close and personal with the Great Ape of Pigeon Forge.
During peak season they can get busy so to save time purchase your tickets online at Hollywood Wax Museum Pigeon Forge.
We love the wax museum, and advertise them for at all of our http://familyownedcabins.com
So cool when they get a new figure.
This adventure sounds so fun. I have heard a lot of great things about this wax museum and I would really like to bring my family there. Hopefully, soon. Marilyn Monroe, Dolly Parton and Taylor Swift look so real!
This looks like a great place to visit – the wax statues are amazing. I Love Lucy looks so real! If I am ever in the area I will have to visit for myself. Also – the All Access Pass definitely sounds like the way to go!
Looks like a great time! I didn’t realize that 7 artists worked on each wax figure. That is amazing! I think it would be neat to see all of the detail up close that each one has. The attractions at the House of Attractions sound fun, too. Though I’m not too sure about the Haunted House!
What fun! I’ve never been to a wax museum but it looks great. My favorite was the George Clooney.
The 5D ride adventure sounds exciting and Outbreak might just scare the hell out of me. I’m a fan of haunted houses but too afraid to enter one. I just like the idea of being entertained and feeling a different kind of emotions while in a museum.
I must admit that wax museums kind of freak me out. Sometimes the pieces of art are just a bit too realistic and make me so worried that they are going to start moving and/or talking. It sounds like the Hollywood Wax Museum at Pigeon Forge is a great one to visit–the pictures are fabulous!
There certainly are lots of photo oppts. I love getting all these goofy kind of photos. There are so much better through the years then the “Everyone” line up shots. I use them on my blog all the time. The wax museum looked like great fun. Putting it on the bucket list.
Wow those wax statutes are incredible! They really look like the actors. There is a wax museum a few hours away I definitely need to take a trip. I didn’t realize how cool they are!
I’ve always wanted to visit a wax museum. That looks like loads of fun!
