Tiny Truths Bible
My children have had a variety of Bibles since they were young children. As they got older, they moved from picture based Bibles to devotional and study Bibles. Now I have a young niece and nephew who are growing up and it is there turn to slowly build their Bible library as they seek out answers to their questions about the scriptures. There is something about watching young children desire to learn more about God and what is in the Bible and the new Tiny Truths Illustrated Bible is a wonderful way to teach them about the stories in the Bible.
The Tiny Truths Illustrated Bible engages young readers with fun, unique, and whimsical illustrations and important stories from characters like Noah, Moses, King David, Jesus, and more! It starts at the very beginning with the magnificence of creation and includes Moses parting the Red Sea, Jonah being swallowed by a giant fish, and ultimately the birth, death, and resurrection of Jesus, the rescuing King.
All of these little stories together tell one big story — the story of God’s GREAT love for his children. The Tiny Truths Bible presents the story of God’s Love as a story directly for the children reading the stories. It helps the readers engage and see God’s Love in a new light. It is the perfect gift for Easter baskets, birthday gifts, and a surprise addition to your young one’s personal library.
The images are whimsical and entertaining even to adults that are reading the stories to the young ones. We can thank the creative team behind the book for this engaging and informative book. The creative team is made up of Tim Penner and Joanna Rivard. Penner is an animation director, illustrator, and writer who lives in Toronto. Before art and film school he picked up a degree in theology just in case the opportunity to bring it all together and make a children’s Bible ever presented itself. Rivard grew up in Nigeria and England and studied French at Oxford University. She has a PhD in French existentialism from the University of Michigan, but (given the choice) prefers writing children’s stories. She lives in Toronto with her husband and two children who refuse to share her accent. Tim and Jo are a creative team and have been making fun things for kids together since 2011.
