The Spirit of God Illustrated Bible
Inside the pages of the Bible are many amazing stories of God’s power and presence from creation to Christ’s birth. However, reading the Bible is often daunting for young readers as they struggle with words they can’t read or understand. If you search you can often find individual Bible stories to read but now children of all ages can discover over 40 amazing Bible stories complete with beautiful illustrations in the new Spirit of God Illustrated Bible.
The Spirit of God Illustrated Bible brings all these amazing stories together in one book to help readers understand God’s Spirit from the beginning of time until the present. Included in its pages are stories that span both the Old and New Testament, from the glory of creation to the powerful letters of Paul. Stories include Adam and Eve, Abraham, Joseph, the Baptism of Jesus, and Pentacost come alive thanks to the dramatic illustrations by Fernando Juarez and moving text by Doris Rikkers.
Children will instantly be drawn to the cover that sparkles and shine with foil waves, a picture of Christ, and a picture of a dove. Once inside, readers of all ages and knowledge will be drawn to each story through the imagery and storytelling. For those looking to read and compare the story to the actual scripture, each story includes the scripture passage the story is drawn from.
The Spirit of God Illustrated Bible is perfect to use for Daily Reading Time, Family Devotions, Junior Church Lessons, Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and more. It is even a great way to introduce new believers (without a knowledge of the Bible) to the amazing stories of God’s presence and power throughout the ages.
The front contains a Table of Contents that breaks the book into Old Testament and New Testament. It also lists each story and its corresponding page number so you can quickly find the story you want to read or share. The author Doris Rikkers is a freelance writer and editor from Grand Rapids, Michigan and has written many bestselling children’s books and Bibles. Although she loves the ocean, she lives in Grand Rapids, Michigan, surrounded by her books, her flower gardens, and her family and friends.
She created this beautiful illustrated Bible with Spanish artist Fernando Juarez who illustrates children’s books and works as an art supervisor at the Madrid studio Ilion Animation.
