Ripley’s Attractions in Gatlinburg
My family moved to East Tennessee last year and we have finally settled in enough that we have started exploring the area around us. On a recent weekend outing we headed out to enjoy the Ripley’s attractions in Gatlinburg. Ripley’s has 8 fun attractions in Gatlinburg (one is in Pigeon Forge) that will keep your family entertained all day.
We started out our day with a visit to the Ripley’s Aquarium. This was a great way to start our day and we discovered so much that I wrote a whole post about it. Check out the amazing aquatic life we discovered in- Family Fun at Ripley’s Aquarium in Gatlinburg.
The second Ripley’s attraction in Gatlinburg that we visited was the Guinness World Records Museum. This was a super fun place to visit with 100’s of exhibits that bring the famous Guinness World Records books to life. They have displays, interactive games, trivia, videos and themed galleries for you to explore. They feature amazing records from sports, food, animals and even human achievements. Don’t forget to try your hand at breaking the world record in the interactive game room.
Next we headed over to the Marvelous Mirror Maze to see who could lead us out without running into a mirror. I must sadly report that it wasn’t any of the parents but my daughter who lead us to victory.
Once you have found your way out of the Mirror Maze, you will want to head on over to the Believe It or Not! Odditorium. Here you will discover sixteen themed galleries on three floors filled with exhibits, artifacts and oddities from all over the world. Some things still have me wondering. Before you go on don’t forget to take your picture with the transformer and large tire in the entry way.
When your ready to give your feet a break you will want to visit the 5D Moving Theater. Here you will sit back and get ready to go on a fun filled ride without ever leaving your seat. This state of the art theater is full of digital effects and motion seats so that you are able to get the full experience during your two short films.
If you are ready to get your spook on then you will want to visit this next fun Ripley’s attraction in Gatlinburg, the Haunted Adventure. This haunted house is over 10,000 square feet and will leave you feeling around in the dark at times. My daughter went with us but she said she wouldn’t do it again. I thought it was fun but be prepared to jump and maybe scream a little.
To wind down your day you can challenge your family to Mini-Golf at the last two Ripley’s attractions in Gatlinburg. Choose from the Old MacDonald Farm or Davy Crocket Mini-Gold. We didn’t get a chance to visit those that day because we were exhausted after 9 hours but have them on our list for our next visit to Gatlinburg.
With so many things to do in and around East Tennessee it can be hard finding one thing that will makethe whole family happy. However, with these fun 8 Ripley’s attractions in Gatlinburg, you are guaranteed to find something for everyone. Plus you can save on tickets when you purchase the U-Pick Combo tickets which allow you to visit the Ripley’s Aquarium and 1 – 7 of the other attractions in Gatlinburg.
