MommySlim Weight Loss Program
I was recently introduced to a weight loss program developed with women and moms in mind. The program is called MommySlim. MommySlim was developed by the weight loss program WonderSlim which is for both men and women. MommySlim however focuses on moms and how busy they are ensuring that their family is taken care of and often putting other’s needs before their own. That creates a unique need in a weight loss program (this includes the latest fat burners for women). This program does come with protein shakes, puddings, snacks, and other prepacked foods. I was skeptical about the taste and asked the company to send me some so I could try them. I did receive an assortment of products to try out including the ready to go shakes and the shake packets. I was impressed with the quality and taste of the items that I was sent. The program is even customizable for nursing moms.

MommySlim believes that healthy families start with Mom. Every day, parents ensure their kids have healthy meals and snacks to eat so kids learn healthy eating habits. However, the battle of food and a mom’s busy schedule may leave mom snacking on those extra items left on her kids plates, which can tip the scales over time.
So to help moms everywhere regain control over their healthy habits, MommySlim suggests some family lifestyle tips from the National Institutes of Health:
- Follow a healthy eating plan. Make healthy food choices, keep your calorie needs and your family’s calorie needs in mind, and focus on the balance of energy IN and energy OUT.
- Focus on portion size. Watch the portion sizes especially in fast food and other restaurants. The portions served often are enough for two or three people. Children’s portion sizes should be smaller than those for adults. Cutting back on portion size will help you balance energy IN and energy OUT.
- Be active. Make personal and family time active fun. Find activities that everyone will enjoy. For example, go for a brisk walk, bike or rollerblade, or train together for a charity walk or run.
- Reduce screen time. Limit the use of TVs, computers, DVDs, and video games because they limit time for physical activity. Health experts recommend 2 hours or less per day of screen time that’s not work- or homework-related.
Remember, focusing on promoting small, gradual changes in lifestyle can yield big results! The goal is to help the members of your family replace the tempting low nutrition food (high in fat and sugar) with more nutritious treats (packed with protein, vitamins and minerals).
