Michigan Dining Adventures to Buddy’s Pizza
Yesterday I shared with you the beginning of our Michigan adventures to SEA LIFE Aquarium and we had even more family fun as we went on our first Michigan Dining Adventures to Buddy’s Pizza. Buddy’s Pizza is known in the Metro Detroit area for having the #1 square pizza since 1946. We were all super excited to accept Buddy’s hospitality and made several people jealous when they heard we were going. Buddy’s Pizza has eleven locations in the Metro Detroit area and visited the Auburn Hills location due to its proximity to the aquarium.
We arrived about thirty minutes after they opened, right before the lunchtime rush, and our noses were immediately greeted with amazing aromas. Buddy’s is known for their pizza but they carry a full menu which includes home-style pastas and soups, appetizers, salads, burgers and more. They even have a dessert menu, if you have room leftover. Some locations also serve beer & wine and have a bar area.
After much deliberation and a warm basket of Buddy Bread, we were ready to order our lunch. We ordered an assortment of pastas including the Oven-Baked Cheese Lasagna, Oven-Baked Spinach Lasagna, and Ravioli. Buddy’s offers three sauces you can choose from when ordering pasta. They have a Classic Meat Sauce, a Marinara, and a Tomato Basil Sauce. You can also add even more flavor to your pasta dishes by adding Marinated Grilled Chicken Breast, Sautéed Mushrooms, Crumbled Italian Sausage, and/or Homestyle Meatballs.
I couldn’t eat at Buddy’s Pizza without enjoying a slice or two of their delicious square pizza and ordered their signature Motown Museum. The Motown Museum is one of 10 signature pizzas and comes with a Motor City cheese blend, bacon, and Old World pepperoni. I had several slices leftover and it was just as good when I ate it for a midnight snack.
The portions are huge and they do offer a half size on many of their entrees. We all had some of our meals left and enjoyed our leftovers for dinner. If you don’t have time to sit down,Buddy’s Pizza also offers carryout. Buddy’s Pizza was a great stop on our Michigan dining adventures and we will back when we are in the Metro Detroit again.
Buddy’s Pizza is also committed to the community and participates in many local charity causes as well as their”Got Pizza, Give Dough,” “Sometimes You Need Some Buddy’s,” “Celebrity Signature Pizza”, “Dining With The Stars,” “Motor City Pizza Collection”, “Great Lakes Pizza Collection” and “Buddy Bone” campaigns.
