I was given complimentary admission as part of a #BloggingBranson event. However, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
Live Shows, IMAX Movies, and More at the Branson Entertainment Complex
In the midst of all the sight-seeing, blogging education seminars, and delicious food during the Blogging Branson event, we took a little time to head on over to the Branson Entertainment Complex. Here we discovered a variety of activities that make it the perfect place to spend the afternoon. Inside you will find a variety of activities for everyone including dining, shopping, live shows, and movies.
The Branson Entertainment Complex is owned by the same owners of Florentina’s Ristorante Italiano and inside you will find their restaurant, McFarlain’s Family Restaurant. We didn’t have a chance to dine here during our trip but you can learn about the experience Footprints in Pixie Dust had in her post “Feels Like Home at McFarlain’s Family Restaurant.” Reading about her experience made me add it to my “Must-Do” list the next time I am in Branson.
After you have have enjoyed the delicious home-style cooking at McFarlain’s you will want to shop the amazing stores inside the complex. From Amish quilts to Branson souvenirs, there is something for everyone. We enjoyed hunting for treasures inside the store and discovered an amazing coffee from a local coffee company, Branson Bean, that we wouldn’t have discovered if not for finding it inside one of the stores.
The main attraction at the Branson Entertainment Complex is the IMAX theater. They have the largest IMAX screen in the Midwest and we were blown away by the image quality that their new 4K laser projection system offers. This system provides the ultimate in screen resolution, sharpness, and brightness for an IMAX experience that is unparalleled with anything I have ever seen.
The screen is not the only draw to their IMAX theater. Movie goers have the opportunity to upgrade their seats to VIP seating. In the VIP seating, you are not just leaning back in your chair but sitting comfy in a leather recliner with cup holder. Set the chair to the perfect reclining position and get comfy during your movie. After this experience, I had a hard time accepting the “traditional” movie theater seats at our local theater.
Along with the IMAX theater, the Branson Entertainment Center has a traditional movie theater with three screens that offer reclining chairs and stadium seating so everyone has a good view of the screen. For those that prefer live entertainment, the Live Opry Theatre on site has a variety of shows including “A Tribute to John Denver,” “George Jones and Friends Remembered,” “The Sons of Britches,” and “Smoke on the Mountain.” During the holidays, they also put on special holiday themed shows.
The variety of options inside the Branson Entertainment Center makes it a great family activity during a trip to Branson. If weather has you stuck indoors don’t waste it sitting in your hotel, head on over to discover hours of fun that will make you forget about the weather outside. Make sure to look for the checker table by Legacy & Legend Gifts and challenge the family to a game of checkers. The atmosphere here is so family friendly that everyone in your party will be happy about your time spent here.
See all that the Branson IMAX Entertainment Complex has to offer and make plans to spend some time during your Branson vacation.
