Dear Mama, It Will Get Better
As another Mother’s Day quickly approaches I find myself looking back at all the years that have gone by. My baby is now 13 years old and while she still demands my attention it is not the same as when she was little. I remember those sleepless nights and don’t know how I got through them. As mothers we are often called upon to make sacrifices big and small for our children and family and we struggle to see how we can keep going with such huge demands placed upon us. I want so say to you today as someone who has made it 13 years, “Dear Mama, it will get better.”
Even when they are older there will be some sleepless nights but not as many. The worries never completely go away they just change but you learn to adapt and grow with them. Mothers at every stage of the game come to a point where they feel like they are at the hardest point in their journey. The best thing you can do when you get to that point is to reach out to the other moms in your circle for support. If you not struggling, make sure to reach out to a mom that it is and remind them simply that, “Dear Mama, It will get better.”
As you celebrate Mother’s Day this year just keep telling yourself that you can’t control what will happen tomorrow but you can know that it will get better! Hang in there and remember that parenting is an adventure that leaves us with memories (some worth sharing and some we might want to forget) and love enough for everyone.
Thank you for reading a story from #BehindTheBlogger Hop. Every 2 weeks a group of bloggers is given a writing prompt. The point of this hop is for our readers to get to know us on a personal level. Please hop along and read all of the blog posts in this weeks hop. Just click the links below.
