We were given a complimentary stay a guests of the hotel as part of the #BloggingBranson event. However, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
Discover The Branson Hotel That Treats You Like Family – Stone Castle Hotel and Conference Center Review
Over the past few weeks, we have been sharing some amazing experiences we had in Branson, Missouri during our Blogging Branson trip. Today, we are taking a step back from all the attractions to share with you the hidden Branson Hotel gem we had the pleasure of staying at during our trip.
Since lodging is usually one of the most expensive parts of planning a vacation, it is important to find a place to stay that will not break the bank but provide a great experience for everyone. The folks at Stone Castle have everything you are looking for in a hotel at an affordable price. The hotel has a wide variety of guest rooms from basic rooms to family suites.
One of the things they are most known for is their fun themed suites. These suites include a jacuzzi tub, refrigerator, and microwave so you have a relaxing oasis to retreat to after a long day of sightseeing. We had the pleasure of staying in the OK Corral Suite and loved the western decor. The themed suites create a homey atmosphere with the unique decorations and beautiful hand painted wall murals.
There are over 20 themed suites with a different theme in each one. Guests can put in a request for a suite and the hotel will do their best to accommodate the request. Some of the themes include Major League Legend, Clay Cooper’s Crib (which was decorated by local entertainer Clay Cooper and his wife), Aspen, Native America, Observatory, and Safari. You can check out all these unique rooms and their amenities HERE!
The hotel strives to provide the best value for your dollar and offers a hot breakfast buffet for guests. This is a refreshing thing to see with many hotels no longer including breakfast or only offering a continental style offering. No one leaves breakfast hungry thanks to the wide assortment of options available. The staff was always around at breakfast to make sure each guest’s needs were met and to keep the dining room clean for the constant flow of guests. During the peak months, the dining room is busier and we were impressed with how much work the staff puts into preparing these delicious offerings.
Stone Castle Hot Buffet Breakfast Facts:
- On a Summer day they serve up to 800 guests in three hours.
- Scrambled Eggs are made with real eggs.
- Muffins are made fresh daily in their own kitchen.
- Staff starts work at 4 AM to cook breakfast for the guests.
- Breakfast options include biscuits, gravy, sausage links or patties, oatmeal, and waffles or pancakes.
- On a summer day they can go through 120 pounds of fruit.
- Drink options include coffee, milk, strawberry/kiwi juice, apple juice, and orange juice
For those that want to enjoy the beautiful weather, guests can take their breakfast outside to the covered gazebo area or the deck areas between building 2 and 3. This wonderful retreat is also a great place to gather with your family and friends any time of day to relax. This area is a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the busy Branson strip.
We also liked that all three buildings are connected via a covered walk-way so you can go between the buildings while being protected by the elements. For those that want to enjoy a little down time you can relax in the hotel’s two pools and hot tubs or battle it out arcade style with the family friendly on-site arcade. The arcade was a joint venture with The Track – Family Fun Parks, a local Branson attraction and will keep the kids busy while the parents unwind.
Another great feature that is perfect for groups or large families is the common areas in each building. These areas provide a place to get together with your group to check-in each day, get some work done, or just to socialize. We took advantage of this space one night when I had some blogging work to do and met up with a few other bloggers from the trip. The comfortable atmosphere makes it a great place to just kick back and relax.
Just like the name suggests, Stone Castle looks like a castle from the outside. You will also find a large amount of knights scattered throughout the property and in the hotel buildings. Keep the kids busy by organizing a “Knight Hunt” and see who can discover the most knights. I won’t give the number away but when your hunt is over you can check with the staff to see if your group was able to find them all. We have some photos of our favorite knights that we discovered during our stay.
The thing that stood out the most to me when talking with the manager and owners of Stone Castle was that one of their missions is to provide a quality hotel experience while keeping it affordable guests. For instance, a standard room with two queen beds for two adults and two children during the Fourth of July holiday season is only $89 (before taxes).
When you deduct an average breakfast for a family of 4 – $40 ($10 per person) from the hotel cost, the actual cost of the room is only $49. That cost is incredible when you factor in the amenities that the hotel offers including indoor corridors for room access with after hours locks on the outside doors.
Along with these great savings, they are always running special package deals with the local partners to include show tickets and more with your stay. I definitely recommend checking out their special offers to see what deals they are running before booking.
The other thing that surprised me about Stone Castle and I feel sets them apart from many hotels is that cleanliness is something they take seriously. I know that many hotels say that but Stone Castle takes it to a whole other level. They shut down for two weeks in the off-season to clean each room from top to bottom. They go beyond your basic cleaning and make sure every baseboard is cleaned, behind every piece of furniture is dusted, and much more.
This detail to cleanliness is noticed through out all areas of the hotel and even extends to the meeting spaces. We had a few blogging seasons and a light dinner reception and the the staff’s attention to detail was noticed in how they handled a guest’s food allergy and more. There is no doubt in my mind what Branson hotel we will stay at when we return. I have already recommended Stone Castle to many others I have met since our visit.
There is so much to love about this Branson hotel and I have included a list of some of the Stone Castle facts below to help you learn more. I would love to answer any questions you may have so feel free to leave us a comment below.
