James and I have been married for 16+ years and have endured a myriad of hardships during the early years of our marriage. From a life-changing tractor-trailer accident to health problems, our relationship and family were tested to the breaking point. Although it did not always seem possible, we made it through thanks to the power of God.
We relocated to East Tennessee in 2015 from Metro Detroit, Michigan. James has been medically retired/physically disabled since his accident in 2017 and with my bi-polar disorder, we needed a change of pace and weather. I grew up in Michigan and while the move meant leaving behind our family and friends, we don’t regret it. The milder climate has meant we can spend more time outdoors which is beneficial for many reasons and not having to deal with the chores that come with harsh winters has been a tremendous help for our family.
We are the proud parents of two wonderful children who have made our life richer with them being in it. The only one left at home is our daughter is 15 years old and has just successfully completed her first year of high school with straight As. This is a huge accomplishment as last year she was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and has battled flare-ups, chronic fatigue, and more.
We have been blessed with a niece and nephew (3 and 6) and are often accused of spoiling them along with our friend’s children and grandchildren.
Finding Sanity In Our Crazy Life started in 2014 as a labor of love after a few years writing for other blogs. Our goal is to provide readers with information, tips, and more to help make their life easier. Whether it is a favorite family recipe or travel recommendations, we strive to help reduce the stress and bring back the sanity in their every day lives.
We love exploring new places, trying new products and meeting new people. These experiences make our lives richer and we hope that we can do the same for those that read our blog and meet us in person. We love to collaborate and can be reached at the emails below.
