A “Sweet” Halloween Candy Display with SweetWorks CandyThis is a Fashionista Event and a promotional item was provided to me by Sweetworks. Hosts for this event are Still Blonde after all these Years and ModlyChic.
I love candy and have a natural sweet-tooth so I was excited when I received the chance to receive $100 worth of SweetWorks Candy. Many people are not familiar with the name SweetWorks so before I show you the gorgeous Halloween Candy Display I was able to create I am going to give you a little information about this fabulous company and why my family and I have come to love them.
SweetWorks makes several different products including Sixlets, Pressed Products (think decorating pearls or tiny shapes for cupcakes), Niagara Chocolates ( from chocolate bars to the popular Ovation Chocolates that you break and eat like an orange), Oak Leaf Jawbreakers and Gumballs. They offer many flavors, shapes, sizes and assortments. My box contained a sampling of each of their products and we could not pick a favorite. Everything is being eaten evenly. Even though I have hidden some gumballs because they are perfect for when I have the munchies. My kids have decided Sixlets are better than other chocolates and said they don’t taste as fake. They were afraid they were not going to be able to eat them after we created our Halloween Candy Display. This may or may not have had anything to do with what I said. I plead the fifth.
What sold me was when I flipped the bags of gumballs and Sixlets over to see if there were nut allergies I wasn’t presented with a nuts listed as an allergy. That was a good thing but I received a bonus the bag clearly stated “MADE IN A FACILITY THAT DOES NOT PROCESS NUTS”. I was thrilled that they are so open with the information and that they are going out of there to produce candy that is safe for children with nut allergies. I am saying this as someone without a nut allergy or children with a nut allergy. However,my sister, does have a nut allergy so we have to watch my nephew because he is at risk. My children are already learning to ask where ever we go and have stopped adults from feeding him things because they forgot to check if it was safe. They happily put some candy aside to give to him because they know he can eat it where other popular chocolates are off limit.
Once we had tried all the different chocolates out it was time to plan our Halloween Candy Display for our upcoming Halloween Party. We are big on reusing thing we already have and saving money by shopping at the Dollar Store for extras so that is what I did to create the extra props we didn’t already have. Planning our Halloween Candy Display took time so I relied on my kitchen table to do my practice run. This gave us extra time to do more taste testing.
Instead of just laying straws on the table to roll away, I placed them in Halloween themed Wine Glasses from the Dollar Store. The Ovation chocolate orange slices are displayed on a simple white serving platter with some Celebration decorating pearls to add color and design.
To create the look pictured below I filled glass kitchen canisters with multi colored sixlets. They provide color on the table for design and they are available to eat. The lids keep people from eating them if you want them only to be used as decoration also. I also did this with the large gumballs. The options are endless with glass canisters and candy.
This simple cupcake stand was made by turning a glass salad bowl upside down and winding purple garland from the Dollar Tree around it. I then filled it up with orange cupcakes I made when I added orange neon gel food coloring to the cupcake batter. I topped the cupcakes with Celebration orange pearls to offset the purple basket and match the orange table liner. Can you count the number of pearls of on each cupcake? It is a spooky number and it is the same on each cupcake.
The orange runner you see in the pictures is nothing more than an orange disposable table cloth from the Dollar Tree that is folded in quarters. If you have a table that you can’t show off then you can use the table cloth all the way. There is no reason to waste money on expensive table cloths when they are going in the garbage at the end of the night.
I had so much fun designing this Halloween Candy Display with SweetWorks Candy that I can’t wait until the next holiday because my family has already decided candy displays are the way to go when it comes to decorations. They are not only fun to look at and create but they are fun to put away because you can eat them to make them disappear. Everyone will remember this display Halloween Candy Display and you cannot go wrong when you pick SweetWorks Candy. Check out all their options available from Gumballs and Jawbreaks to Sixlets and Ovation Choclates at SweetWorks.
