Summer Family Game Night Fun

Summer Family Game Night

One of the things that we love about summer is how long the days are. It allows us to take advantage of extra time to spend together without all the worries of homework and school activities. One of the ways we like to enjoy the extra day light is by having some family game night fun.

Family Game Night allows us to unplug and connect with each other while engaging in some healthy competition. Recently, I received two new games to review from Winning Moves. Winning Moves has a complete selection of games perfect for all ages and game playing ability. With young ones in the family it is nice to see a selection of games geared towards them that are also educational in nature. I love sneaking in learning whenever possible and no one complains about learning if they are playing.

Moose Caboose Game Pieces

Summer family game night can be fun for all ages when you include the younger ones in a fun game of Moose Caboose.  Moose Caboose is designed for 2 to 4 players and is recommended for ages 6 and up. This game can be played with children a little younger who know their colors. The object of the game is to see who can collect the most animals in their animal train by matching the colors of the cards. The game has 60 high-quality,over-sized cards that are easy to hold and play with.

Scattergories Categories Game Pieces

Keep family game night fun for the older kids and adults with a fun game of Scattergories Categories.  Scattergories Categories is a twist on the classic game of Scattergories and can be played with as few as two people. It is recommend for ages 12 and up but depending on your child they may be able to play if younger. There are no letter die or topic cards in this version of Scattergories but instead you choose a category card. The category is printed vertically and you record your answer on the included answer pads. You have two minutes to write words that corresponds to the category and start with each letter of the category. You earn points if you come up with a word that no one else does. The player with the most points wins. The game comes with 250 categories to play and provides hours of endless fun.
