Miracles From Heaven Movie Review
I recently had the opportunity to attend a pre-screening of Miracles From Heaven. It is based on the the true story of the Beam family and how their live is affected when their daughter is diagnosed with a rare disease. Miracles From Heaven stars Jennifer Garner, Kylie Rogers, Martin Henderson, John Carroll Lynch, Eugenio Derbez, and Queen Latifah.
Miracles From Heaven is based on the incredible true story of the Beam family. When Christy (Jennifer Garner) discovers her 10-year-old daughter Anna (Kylie Rogers) has a rare, incurable disease, she becomes a ferocious advocate for her daughter’s healing as she searches for a solution. The family’s life is turned upside down as they search for answers and a way to save Anna. It shows the true emotions and pain that a mother (and father) feel when faced with a child who is sick. As a christian, I could relate to the struggle Christy faces as she deals with her faith in God and those around her in church who are quick to offer judgement. The story also shows how hard one child’s illness can affect the other children in the house and the strain it can take on a marriage and relationships. After Anna has a freak accident and falls three stories, a miracle unfolds in the wake of her dramatic rescue that leaves medical specialists mystified, her family restored and their community inspired.
I highly recommend seeing this movie and I am already making plans to see it again with family and friends. This movie is a tear jerker, so be prepared to bring some tissues with you when seeing it. The true and raw emotion that Miracles From Heaven portrays is a reminder of how precious life is and how great God is also.
