Family Fun at Gattitown Lexington
A few weeks back, I shared with you a great “Family Fun Deal” for Gattitown Lexington and then we had the opportunity to stop in for a visit on our way back from a trip to Michigan. It was about midway between destinations and provided the perfect “pit stop” on our road trip. We spent almost 2 hours playing arcade and games and enjoying the delicious eats on the buffet. Gattitown Lexington is a 30,00 square foot family entertainment center with over 150 games, bumper cars, carousal, and more.
The establishment is very well organized and unlike other “game centers” you can eat your food away from the commotion of the arcade area. There are three dining rooms to eat in and you can choose where you want to sit. Right off of the buffet area there is an open dining area called “The Cafe”for those that want to eat without distraction. If you want to keep your kids occupied while eating you can head over to “FunFlix” where kid’s movies or tv shows play on a big screen. While we were there they showed Inside Out and Nut Job. For the sports fans you can head to “WGTV” and see the latest sports games on the many televisions the and we chose to sit in the area with the kid’s movie playing. This is a great way to keep kids entertained while the parents finish eating. If you are a sports fan they have a dining area just for you with 3 large HD screens and multiple smaller screens for viewing your favorite sporting events.
Gattitown Lexington does require purchase of a buffet for every guest entering the facility and the price was reasonable with children and senior rates. I liked that you have to purchase a buffet to enter because it means that there are not kids just hanging around causing trouble, like I have experienced at other facilities. Speaking of the buffet, you will find delicious varieties of pasta and sauces ,along with a multitude of pizzas with various toppings. Plus if you don’t see a pizza you like you can ask them to make you one with the toppings you like. For those lookingto watch their weight the salad bar has a tremendous amount of options. Here you also don’t have to worry about finding your favorite beverage because they have both Coke and Pepsi products along with tea and coffee.
The arcade is set at the back of the facility and has plenty of room to maneuver around. There were games for kids of all ages and I love that they have a game card vs. tokens and tickets. It made it easy to go from game to game without worrying you might lose something. This also made it simply when it was time to cash out for prizes. They simply scan the card and know how many tickets you have. The prizes are in line with other similar places and my daughter was happy with what she was able to redeem her tickets for.
Along with great food and games, Gattitown Lexington also offers an excellent place to host your birthday party, field trip, meetings and more! They even have a special “Town Hall” with multiple rooms so you can celebrate (or hold host your meeting) in your own private area.
We enjoyed our brief pit-stop on the way home and think we are going to add it to our travel routine when we are in the area.
