Snowman Candle Holder 2
When Christmas season comes around, it is a time of joy and memory making. During this time we spend extra time baking treats and creating holiday crafts for ourselves and for gift giving. My daughter as always wanted to be included so we try to do projects that she can make along with us. This DIY Snowman Candle Holder is simple to make and light on the pocketbook if your funds are tight. Most items can be found at your local dollar store and you might even be surprised to find you already have them at home.
Items Needed
1 short, round glass jar or vase
2 large googly eyes
1 red or green pipecleaner
2 large red or green pompom balls (Use the color opposite your pipecleaner)
White batting/pillow stuffing or cottonballs
1 small red pompom or button
1 Mini battery operated candle
Hot glue gun or tacky glue
Black Sharpie
Directions
Take the hot glue gun and begin by gluing on the googly eyes to create the front of the snowman.
Next glue on the small red pompom for a nose.
Take the pipecleaner and bend it over the top of the vase. Glue each end to the sides of the vase at the top.
Take the large pompoms and glue them on top of the pipecleaner ends.
Now take the Sharpie and draw a mouth on the face of the snowman. You could also use small black pompoms.
Lastly, fill the vase with the stuffing and place the batter operated candle inside.
