Coding For Toddlers With the Interactive Code-a-pillar
Technology is everywhere we look and most jobs require some use of technology. There is a way to introduce your young children to technology without putting a phone in their hands. Thanks to the new Code-a-pillar by Fisher Price you can introduce them to coding for toddlers.
The Code-a-pillar is a fun hands on approach to coding and keeps your child busy and away from screen time. Every child will enjoy taking him apart and reconnecting him to create new paths and sequences. Once the pieces are connected, all they have to do is press start and watch him go. It is super fun to watch him roll along on the path that they have created. We also enjoyed seeing if we could predict where our Code-a-pillar would end up or if an obstacle would get in his way.
The Code-a-pillar comes with one motorized head and 8 easy-to-connect segments that allow you to create endless combinations. You can extend the playtime and new coding for toddlers options by purchasing the extra add on packs (Master Moves and Silly Sound & Lights.) You also receive two destination targets. Children will have fun seeing if they can reach their target by picking the right combination of segments and starting spot.
The Code-a-pillar helps to develop skill such as critical thinking, sequencing, reasoning, memory, discovery, experimentation, and problem solving. It also shows them the correlation between cause and effect. It recommended for ages 3-6, which makes it the perfect way to introduce coding for toddlers. However, younger children will love watching the code-a-pillar go on his journeys and will be able to become more active with the toy as they get older.
I am happy to gift the Code-a-pillar to my niece and watch her interact more with him as she gets older. It is a great way to introduce children to technology at a young age and help them to learn how things work in a fun and interactive fashion.
